Colon Hydrotherapy: How to prepare

Colon Hydrotherapy: How to prepare

To prepare for your colon hydrotherapy session, please follow these guidelines to ensure the treatment is as effective and comfortable as possible.

Important Health Note

If you have a history of kidney disease, heart disease, severe hemorrhoids, or inflammatory bowel conditions like Crohn’s or Ulcerative Colitis, please consult your physician before booking a session, as these conditions may require medical clearance.

24 to 48 Hours Before Your Appointment

  • Hydrate Well: Aim to drink at least 2 liters of water, herbal teas, or diluted fruit juices daily. Proper hydration helps soften waste, making the process more effective.

    • Eat Light, Whole Foods: Focus on a diet rich in vegetables and fiber. Steam or lightly cook vegetables to make them easier to digest.

    • • Avoid Gas-Producing Foods: Minimize or eliminate beans, onions, cabbage, broccoli, carbonated drinks, and dairy products to reduce potential bloating during the session.

    • • Limit Processed Items: Avoid heavy, greasy, deep-fried, or highly processed foods, as well as alcohol and excessive caffeine.

Day of the Appointment

  • Fast Beforehand: It is highly recommended to stop eating solid foods at least 3 hours prior to your session.

    • Limit Fluids: Stop drinking large amounts of liquids about 1 hour before your appointment to avoid a full bladder during the treatment.

    • Dress Comfortably: Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothing. You will be provided with a gown or cover for the procedure itself.

    • • Relax: Arriving in a relaxed state of mind helps the abdominal muscles stay soft, which facilitates a better cleansing process.
