In this step-by-step video, Dr. Lori, ND walks you through how to properly collect and prepare your stool sample for the GI-MAP® (Gastrointestinal Microbial Assay Plus).

The GI-MAP® is an advanced, DNA-based stool test that uses quantitative PCR (qPCR) technology to detect and measure genetic material from bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites using a single stool sample.

Dr. Lori, ND will guide you through labeling your collection vial, collecting your sample, properly preparing the specimen, and storing it before returning it to the clinic.

Important: Please follow the clinic’s preparation instructions, including avoiding probiotics and digestive enzymes for the recommended period before collection.
