Colon Hydrotherapy Absolute Contraindications

  • • Severe Rectal Bleeding (Active, unexplained)
  • • Colorectal Cancer with Obstruction, Friable Tumours, or High Bleeding Risk
  • • GI Hemorrhage/Perforation
  • • Bowel obstruction/twisted bowel or blockage seen on imaging
  • • Severe Inflammatory
  • • Bowel Disease Flare
  • • Recent colorectal surgery (within 6 weeks or until medically cleared)
  • • Severe Dehydration
  • • Electrolyte Imbalance (significant hypo/hypernatremia, hypokalemia)
  • • Sepsis or systemic infection
  • • Pregnancy (first trimester)
